Hi All,
Well the big congrats go out to Brian Shenstone and Bob Orr as the 2007
National Champions. Annapolis Sailors Jim Praley and Geoff Swanhart
both gave it their best. The racing was wonderful Saturday and Monday.
Sunday provided for abandonment, the wind gods just were not with us
that day, and an ebbing flow had boats anchoring at the final windward
mark.... That is all except Draco who managed to get around early and
follow the flow to the finish line. Rule 39 was declared by the race
committee and this brought up a redress but as the outcomes of the
previous day were not being effected as to the top boats it was
declared abandoned. The other two days the wind gods were with us and
the outcome can be seen at the following address:
www.cbyra.org/RaceInfo/2007/501/ARW2007_Fleet_3.html or Here
a breif breakdown of the top 10 of 19 boats is as follows:

I will try to do a full write up in the next week or so as I am off again for another regatta in North Carolina.
Again A BIG WELL DONE TO Brian and Bob and the entire crew of Draco.
Thanks to all that participated in making this a fantastic show at
Annapolis Race Week. I will quote a J 105 racer on this. "It was more
like the Cal 25 Show" We dominated the local press and had the loudest
cheering section each day for the daily and overall awards.
Thank You to all the Dancing Elephants out there.
